Heat of the moment
Weddings held in hot climates can be gorgeously romantic and picturesque but you do need to take the setting in to consideration when planning your special day. Here's a few beach wedding ideas to help your planning...
Whilst beach weddings are idyllic, do remember that large helpings of sunshine can lead to sunburn and sunstroke - not ideal! Please don't forget to carry a scarf or shawl to drape round your shoulders, take a shady hat if you're going to be standing under the sun, and do safeguard your bridesmaids from excess sun too.
We recommend our plain bridesmaid boleros, made in satin with three quarter length sleeves and a simple tie at the front, perfect for protecting little shoulders from the heat but light enough not to be uncomfortable. Or, if you want to pick up a particular colour accent for your beach wedding, our plain slub satin bridesmaid boleros, available in child sizes 6 months to 7 years, can be had in gold, ruby, lilac, blue and pink as well as standard ivory. To finish your bridesmaids' outfits, our pretty party slipper bridesmaid shoes in pink or lilac are ideal. They have sensible non-slip rubber soles, which are perfect for sand, with satin upper finish and a ribbon bow. Or you could choose a more simple flat bar bridesmaid shoes, lovely with an unfussy dress.
If you're planning to give your beach wedding guests party favours, check out our range of wedding dolly bags - gorgeous little satin drawstring bags that can be filled with sunshine treats like sunscreen, sunglasses, tanning lotion and miniature fans. Or just keep your lipstick, tissues and spare cash in there for emergencies!
