They come in all shapes, sizes and ages. Your grown-up bridesmaids might include a size six waif who does Audrey Hepburn beautifully, plus a full-figured siren who wants to show off her cleavage, and lots of variations in between. So don't just order one dress to fit all - look at the individuals and choose what will enhance their figures. Colour can pull different styles together. if you're going for a grass-green summer theme, get your bridesmaids to wear the colour but choose the dress style that suits, be it shift, halterneck or prom frock. If green makes them look seasick, limit that shade to a sash or hair accessory. Just keep the hemlines the same length, to lend harmony to your photos and for a breathtaking effect as they all waft down the aisle. Full length or knee-length, it's your call.

 

Make sure your adult bridesmaids all co-ordinate when it comes to flowers and accessories, at least in terms of colour and shape, If you're going for the traditional milkmaid rural style, get your girls to carry trailing bunches of wildflowers. If the dresses are severely elegant and the look of your wedding is minimalist, choose structured flowers like orchids or lilies.

As for little bridesmaids and page boys, you can enjoy making them look utterly adorable.
