This summer looks like it's going to the summer of Celebrity weddings with some of our favourite bachelors tying the knot. What with Robbie Williams, Russell Brand and David Walliams reportedly walking down the aisle and now Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan getting hitched too, the count of eligible bachelors is definitely going to take a hit. Plus the A listers are going to be out in full force to help their friends settle down to a life of married bliss!

Robbie got engaged at New Year though he is still keeping us guessing as to the date for the private ceremony after three proposed wedding dates were leaked to the press.  As for David Walliams and Russell Brand, the wedding plans are coming along nicely with Brand threatening a “naked” wedding for his nuptials to Katy Perry and David Walliams walking down the aisle in May in an early summer wedding. Let's just hope that it is his fiancée Lara Stone who  is wearing the wedding dress!

As for Simon Cowell, the self confessed bachelor once said that he would never risk his fortunes by getting married. But it seems that he has now had a change of heart with his American makeup artist, Mezhgan Hussainy having the X Factor for him! Simon popped the question over a Chinese at their favourite Knightsbridge restaurant on Valentine's Day and the pair are now planning a summer wedding.  According to reports in the Daily Mail, Cowell is planning on celebrating in true A list style with a celebrations on both sides of the Atlantic. The wedding itself will be in the UK. He has to make sure though that the date doesn't clash with that of his close friend, Piers Morgan.

Piers is walking down the aisle for the second time this summer with girlfriend Celia Waldon. Piers's first marriage came to a final end last year after a lengthy separation and Piers celebrated by asking his girlfriend of four years to marry him. The race is now on with Mr Cowell though as to who sends out the “Save the date” cards first. The pair have a lot of mutual friends and are keen to make sure that the dates don't clash. After all who would want to have to choose between Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan?
