Lonestar tops the list of the most popular songs for that first dance you will do as a married couple. According to the chart published last week and compiled by the Performing Rights Society after wedding DJs voted for their top 10 wedding songs, “Amazed” was the no.1 song for newly weds tying the knot in 2007. Amazingly though, the song never actually made it into the UK's top 20 despite being the US country band's biggest hit.
Bryan Adams “Everything you do” was no.2 in the list of wedding music and Robbie's “Angels” was no.3. The popular “You're Beautiful” by James Blunt hit the no.4 spot and Aerosmith's “Don't want to miss a thing” was no.5. Shania Twain was the only artist to make it twice into the first dance chart with “Still the one” taking the no.6 spot and “From this moment on” reaching no.9.
According the BBC news report, "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden hit no.7 and Van Morrison's classic ballad “Have I told you lately” reached no.8. Whitney Houston's big ballad was no.10.
Whatever wedding music though you choose for that all important first dance as man and wife, you want to be sure you don't stumble and trip in those skyscraper heels you've been wearing all day. After all, what could be worse than having a Naomi Campbell moment when you're being watched by all your family and friends as you take that slow first waltz around the dance floor! A pair of flat wedding shoes are the answer.
The opera wedding shoes are perfect slipping on for that slow first dance as you gaze into your beloved eyes and then for kicking your heels up as the tempo hots up. The closed toe will protect those dainty toes from getting stomped on if your man has two left feet and they're inexpensive enough not to break the bank. If you're intending to really dance the night away, then the ballet wedding slipper with its soft suede sole will help prevent any sore feet for the honeymoon. Or if you still want a little bit of height, then the flat sandal wedding shoes are ideal. The 2.5cm heel will give you a little bit of feminine height but is low enough to prevent you falling flat on your face as your new husband sweeps you around the dance floor. And don't forget to have some Party Feet sore spot cushions and Party Feet heel shields to hand as plasters and blistered feet from all that dancing are just not a good look for by the pool on your honeymoon!
