McWedding - Wedding Cake fit for a Burger King!

Now we know that all brides want the wedding cake to be the centrepiece of the wedding breakfast and many an hour is spent finding the perfect cake to top the “happy” meal. For one Norfolk couple though, they really decided to go supersized with a cake fit for a king or should that be a Burger King!!  Rather than the traditional tiered iced cake that most brides go for, this couple opted for a giant cheeseburger weighing in at mega 42lb!

According to the report in The Daily Mirror, the whopper burger was a personalised gift from Zaks restaurant, the couple's local American style diner where they are regular guests. Three chefs were needed to lift the supersized burger out of the oven so the couple could share it with their 60 wedding guests. The whopper burger measured 18inches across, was made from a 400oz beef patty and took three hours to cook!!

It takes the saying that “the way to a man's heart is through his stomach” to another level when the groom told the publication “I got to marry the woman of my dreams and then I got to have the burger of my dreams on the same day”. The bride said “It made the day even more special”. Let's just hope she was wearing her magic waist nipper or magic slimshaper shorts under her wedding dress to combat the effects of all that burger and make sure that she still looked gorgeous for the reception!
