The high street is full of fantastic clothes these days, from gloriously affordable, pile-em-high bargain stores (we all know the ones) to high-end department stores full of desirable labels. When you're looking for inspiration for your wedding, it can be difficult to get a handle on what's out there. But most of us will have favourite shops which tend to suit our tastes and our pockets.
For your special day you'll probably be willing to spend a little more, splash out a bit on clothes and accessories. Depending on whether you're a classic girl or a boho chick, you'll gravitate towards certain shops where you already feel happy shopping. Once the all-important dress is secured, you can start thinking about the trimmings. Your special wedding underwear, bridal tights, stockings and hosiery, bridal garters, the wedding shoes, the bridal gloves, the wedding handbags. The bridesmaid's dresses and page boy's outfit. What about hats? Jewellery? Hair accessories?
The internet is, of course, a great place to start building up your wedding picture. One favourite site for brides looking for a casual feel for their wedding has to be Monsoon, with a great bridal section offering everything a crochet blouse for a baby girl, to silk stoles and simple but sumptuous bridesmaid dresses in rich jewel colours. The Monsoon bridal look is very feminine but not too frilly, colourful but not garish, with the accent on strokable textures - satin, silk, fine wool and jersey. Accessories all have that 'granny's attic' charm and originality - perfect for the bride with eclectic tastes. You might even find The Dress here!
