Strictly Wedding – Strictly Come Dancing Star Tom Chambers gets hitched!

Strictly Come Dancing star and Holby City actor, Tom Chambers wed his long suffering fiancée, Clare Harding only hours after impressing judges on the Saturday night show.

With his best man and the vicar watching in the audience just to make sure he got to the church on time, Tom Chambers wowed the Strictly Come Dancing judges with he and his dance partner Camilla Dallerup, finishing equal top for the week beside model and presenter Lisa Snowdon. He then hot footed it up the M1 to Derbyshire as soon as filming finished so he waltz down the aisle with his new bride on Sunday.

In actual fact, he should have really been spending Saturday night taking his first dance as a married man as the wedding was originally planned for the that day. But after over a decade of on and off dating, bride Clare decided that another day wouldn't make much difference so moved the wedding to the Sunday so that he could still take part in the show. And being the supportive wife, she didn't even mind when Camilla turned up on their honeymoon in Derbyshire! At least, she didn't have to worry about getting her toes trodden on though when they did eventually take to the dance floor! Let's just hope she had a pair of ballet wedding slippers or some party feet gel cushions on standby so she could keep up with Tom's fancy footwork!

The pair originally fell in love when Clare was 15 and Tom was 20 but they decided to part as she was too young. Tom apparently promised that he would marry Clare one day but as is the way of true romance, it was several years and two near death experiences before fate brought them back together again. Sunday though was the icing on the cake. Chambers said “I've been waiting 11 years for this so am not nervous in the slightest” In fact he admitted that he was more nervous about dancing on the show than the wedding itself!
