Henry Kaye has hit the small screen. After hitting the broadsheets back in the Autumn, Henry Kaye has now found fame on the small screen too. In a sneak preview of the much awaited second series of Ashes to Ashes (the follow up to “Life on Mars”), a pair of our Victorian 1003 wedding boots take part in a shootout.
In a feast of 1980's batwing jumpers and blue eyeliner set to a soundtrack of Human League and Bucks Fizz, the show is set to return to our screens later this year. Our Victorian boots feature in a scene where WPC Sharon Granger (played by actress Montserrat Lombard) gets involved in a shootout while dressed up in full bridal gear. Is this a shot gun wedding in the making, we wonder!!
So are you a 1980's babe too? Are blue eyeliner, legwarmers and big shoulder pads your thing? Are you planning a 1980's themed wedding? Check out Lady Di's fairytale wedding for quintessential 1980's wedding fashion. Think big shoulders, big skirts and lots of frills with a pair of Victorian wedding boots to finish it off. Or if you'd prefer something a little daintier, then what about the Megan wedding shoes? A homage to 1980's glamour whilst keeping a Noughties fashion sense.
As for your groom, it has to be Miami Vice all the way. Pastel suits with the sleeves rolled up coupled with loafers and you will have your own Don Johnson waiting for you at the alter! For your flower girls, the Princess ballgown bridesmaid dress with its fitted jacket and faux fur trim has to be the ultimate in 1980's Barbie glamour and your young bridesmaids will just adore it.
Finally, serve up cocktails (tequila sunrise, long island ice tea, margheritas and the likes) during the reception and let your hair down to Wham, Duran Duran, The Bangles and as Frankie says, Relax for an 80's wedding that will go down in history!
