Most brides don't spend as much time looking for their wedding shoes as their wedding dress, thinking that they aren't that important as they will be covered most of the time by their dress. However this isn't the case as although your dress needs to be gorgeous, if your feet hurt all day because of uncomfortable wedding shoes, you aren't going to enjoy yourself. And there is nothing worse than hot and sweaty feet to make you feel uncomfortable. The answer then is a pair of gorgeous wedding sandals.

A pretty pair of wedding sandals will not only look lovely with your gorgeous wedding dress but they will also give your feet to breathe and if you do decide to kick them off later in the day when the dancing gets going, you won't knock out the groom (and your guests) with the smell. If strappy and high is your thing, then a  pair of gladiator wedding sandals are right on trend and will look stunning with a flowing Grecian style dress. Take a look at our Christina bridal shoes for inspiration.

Or what about the Emma bridal shoes? These strappy wedding sandals are perfect for a wedding under hot, sunny skies. Strappy enough to keep bridal toes cool in the heat, yet still glamorous enough for the princess that you are on your big day.

Of course, the thought of thin strappy wedding sandals cutting into sensitive feet fills some brides with horror, so what about a wedding sandal that is a bit more substantial? The Suzannah bridal shoes and Rebecca wedding sandals are still pretty and feminine but provide just a little bit more support around the heel and over the top of the foot.

If you are getting married on a beach, then wedding sandals are the only way to go when it comes to your wedding shoes (unless you are going barefoot of course!). Heels are not a good idea though as you don't want that sinking feeling as you say your vows. A pair of flat wedding sandals is ideal then. Here at Henry Kaye, we offer two different styles of flat wedding sandals. The flat wedding sandals are basically what they say on the tin -  flat versions of traditional strappy sandals. Or if carefree and relaxed is the vibe you are after, then the diamante wedding toe post sandals are the ultimate in relaxed wedding sandals!

Don't forget though, whatever style of wedding sandals you go for to complement your wedding dress, comfort is the key. Get your wedding sandals in plenty of time for your big day and wear them around the house so your feet get used to them. Plasters or worse still blood stains from burst blisters and rubbed skin really isn't a good look on your wedding day. Pop a pair of Scholl party feet gel cushions in the soles for a bit of added protection. And if the soles are particularly slippery, then rubbing them with sandpaper is a good trick.
