White Holy Communion Shoes

Published on 10 February 2011

The Holy Communion season is fast approaching and the lessons are well underway. Now is the time to sort out the outfit that your little girl will wear as she takes her First Holy Communion. Traditionally, little girls will wear white and the style will be grown-up, almost bridal in style. Either a classic white a-line dress or a full, organza skirted dress are perfect. As for Holy Communion shoes, something white and simple is ideal.

If you want to keep things really formal, a pair of our Holy Communion bar shoes are just right. These simple Mary-Jane style shoes are made from white satin and will suit the formality of the occasion perfectly.

If a little bit of detailing is what you are after, then the Holy Communion Pearl bow bar shoes or the Holy Communion diamante bar shoes might fit the bill. The Holy Communion Pearl bow bar shoes have a simple bow centred with pearls on the front and the Holy Communion diamante bar shoes are trimmed around the throat with little diamantes that catch the light (a matching hair band and dolly bag are also available so you can co-ordinate the outfit from head to toe). Both are simple enough not to detract from the solemnity of the occasion but have a little bit of detail so that they are marked out as special.

Or, if pretty and sparkling is more your little girls' style, then the Sparkly Holy Communion shoes are ideal. Either team them with a simple white Holy Communion dress to give your little girl a treat, or if fairytale princess or “Bride of Christ” is the look that you are going for, pair them with a full on ‘bridal' gown. Whichever look you are after, you can be sure that these Sparkly Holy Communion shoes will be a favourite long after your little girl has taken her First Holy Communion.

Now we know that children all grow at different rates and if your little one has grown out of children's shoes (and even by age 7, that is not unheard of), the Elizabeth Holy Communion shoes are just the thing. A simple white pump scattered with crystals, these Holy Communion shoes are not too grown-up so would suit a little girl perfectly for her First Holy Communion.

Finally add in a pair of white tights or some crisp white socks to protect heels from new shoes, a dolly bag and a sweet white bolero to keep small arms warm in a draughty church and your little girl will be ready to take that next step in growing up.
