World Cup fever is due to hit the male (and female) contingent of the country this summer. But what if you have organised your nuptials for that fateful month? Do you embrace World Cup fever or do you try and avoid it like the plaque? Our advice is unless your hubby to be is resolutely not a football fan (as well as most of your male guests), you need to at the very least make some allowance for it otherwise you may find that your wedding reception is more like the Marie Celeste than a party!

So how can you make sure that your wedding doesn't take second place to the boys on the pitch? If you are really dedicated (and really love your husband to be!) and you are unlucky enough that your wedding happens to fall on the day of an England match, you could of course change your theme to embrace the red, white and blue! If that is a step too far, a screen set up in a corner of the room or if you have a separate room, set up a World Cup themed room that will keep the men happy. England hats for one of the photographs is also a nice touch and adds a little bit of humour to the proceedings. After all, if you can't beat them, why not join them!

Saturday  12th June, 19.30  - England v USA  
Friday 18th June, 19.30 - England v Algeria
Wednesday 23rd June, 15.00 - Slovenia v England

So that is the group stages and if we are lucky enough to get through to the finals, the dates you need to watch are Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th June (round of 16), Friday 2nd July and Saturday 3rd July (quarterfinals), Tuesday 6th July and Wednesday 7th July (Semis) and for the grand final, Sunday 11th July (play-off on Saturday 10th July)!  Check out ..... for the full programme.

All you need now is for Rooney and friends to come up trumps on the pitch and your wedding day will be a day to remember (for all the right reasons of course!)
